A Blessed 2024 From Still Waters Counseling Center

It's Okay not to be Okay...

As one year ends and new one begins, we tend to take account of the closing year. We also start to shape our hopes for the new one, with a tendency to focus on achievement. In this, we sometimes forget what true accomplishment looks like. Scripture tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be mature and complete lacking in nothing." James 1:1-4

In case somebody needs to hear it, it's okay if the only thing you did this year was get through it. If that is your accomplishment, know that it is a big one.

Rejoice in it!

Give yourself credit for it!

It wasn't easy and you did it!

It's okay to not be okay.

God is always at work. He is with you and for you.
